The Rainbow Run fundraiser is a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about having fun with your friends and family!
The Run will take place on Friday, September 21st. Check-in is at 5pm. Last day to register is September 7th.
How does it work?
- Wear this year’s Blythe Park Rainbow Run T-shirt.(T-shirts will be distributed several days before the run.)
- The Run will start at 5:30pm. Participants will run laps around Blythe Park school, past stations where they will be sprayed by color (food coloring and water) to decorate their t-shirts. By the end of the run, everyone will be wearing their own original “masterpiece of art.”
Rainbow Run Registration – $25 per person *nonrefundable
- Registration DEADLINE: Friday, September 7th

- Entry Fee Includes: Entry to Rainbow Run, T-shirt, 1 color packet (safe and natural).
- All profits will go to the Blythe Park PTA.
Family Fun Night – after the Rainbow Run
After the Run, stay for the Ice Cream Social (6:30-7:30pm), music, dancing, games and tons of other fun activities for everyone to enjoy. *Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase.

Consider serving as a Room Parent for your child’s class for the 2018-2019 school year!
If you would like to be considered for a Room Parent position, sign-ups will be accepted until Friday, September 14th.
*NOTE: Two room parents per grade level will be selected at random. Selected room parents will be notified by September 17th.
Duties include:
- Serving as liaison between PTA and classroom families. Informing parents of PTA meetings and other school activities.
- Working with teachers as needed and assisting class parties/activities.
- Collecting for holiday and year-end gifts for teachers.
- Help with the following events: Halloween Celebrations, Fun Lunch, Teacher Appreciation Week and ACES Walk.
- If needed, assist in volunteer recruitment for events with large number of volunteers needed.

The Riverside Parks & Rec Department will once again offer After School Programs at Blythe Park. Classes will take place directly after school dismissal from 3-4pm. The first session begins the week of September 10th, so sign up soon!
Registration deadline is 5 days prior to the class start date.

Volunteers needed to help paint brightly colored games and activities on the Blythe Park parking lot black top!
This project is being coordinated by a local Girl Scout earning her Silver Award. To complete her project she needs adult and student volunteers (5th grade and older) to help paint stencils of games and activities on the parking lot black top.
*NOTE: Painting supplies, stencils and instruction will be provided.

Join the 2018-2019 Blythe Park PTA TODAY!
We hope you will join the PTA for the first time or renew your membership. Joining will not only benefit your children and all Blythe Park students, it will help your family connect to teachers, other parents, and all the great events happening at our school and in our district.
Every year, many parents are generous with their time, resources and talents. The PTA can’t thank you enough for your participation. We hope you will join once again, attend meetings and volunteer as often as you can. While our small school atmosphere is wonderful for our kids, it also means that we do need help, ideas, and support from all our families.
*NOTE: PTA Membership also includes one printed PTA School Directory per paid membership.
Direct Donation
As you become a PTA member, we hope you will consider giving additional financial support to our efforts and activities. Please consider giving to the Direct Donation Campaign which supports all of the activities that help make our students’ experience at Blythe Park School so incredible. We aim for 100% participation from families at any level you are comfortable with. We have a suggested donation amount of $100 per family if you are able to give at that amount. The PTA appreciates your time, generosity and all you do to enhance our students’ Blythe Park School experience. We look forward to working with you next year.

School Supply Kits are ready for pick-up on Monday!
If you ordered a 2018-2019 School Supply Kit in the spring, the kits will be available for pick-up in the Blythe Park Library on Monday, August 20th from 10:30am – 3:30pm.
*Note: If you are unable to pick up your kit on Monday, they will also be available for pick up during the 1st-5th Grade Meet and Greet on Wednesday, August 22nd from 2-3pm OR during the Kindergarten Meet and Greet on Thursday, August 23rd from 2-3pm.
