As the holidays approach, we would like to thank our dedicated teachers and staff members with a gift. To ensure that everyone at Blythe feels appreciated, we are using the same approach as we did last year. Several parents (and classroom teachers) have suggested we spread the wealth (so to speak) and divide donations among all teachers and staff who work to make Blythe Park an extraordinary community. Moreover we also decided that instead reaching out to you to repeatedly ask for donations for holiday gifts and end-of-year gifts and teacher appreciation, we will ask for donations once and divide them among everyone for each occasion.
Of course, no one is required to give, but we encourage those who do to keep this new approach in mind as you plan your giving. Please do what you can if you can. We appreciate any and all contributions. It would be great if you could make your gift through Cheddar up by Wednesday, December 16th, but we welcome cash and checks as well if you prefer.

Parents will be receiving an email from your classroom coordinator with information regarding the party that will happen during the kids’ lunch break. We encourage them to wear their pajamas on this day!

Thank you to all who participated in the Gingerbread House fundraiser. We cannot wait to see the photos of the kids with their houses! If you purchased delivery, your houses will be delivered by Thursday, December 10th. If no one is home they will be left on your doorstep. Should you want to make other arrangements, please email diwrom@gmail.com. If you have chosen pickup, please check your email with the subject ‘gingerbread house pickup’.
We are supplying you with an additional Icing (glue) recipe for your homes. We know sometimes the ones supplied just don’t cut it. If you do not plan on eating your home, you can use regular glue. Be sure your home is not decorated until your icing has dried completely. Otherwise, it may come tumbling down during construction.
Royal Icing Recipe
1lb powdered sugar
1/2 cup pasteurized eggs (or 3 large eggs)
1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter Mix high 7-10 minutes
