After a year of trying to recover Blythe Park’s Facebook account without success, we have decided to abandon that effort and open an Instagram account instead. Three Trusted Adults

Three Trusted Adults is a communication practice that Blythe Park School utilizes. This reflective process requires children to identify three adults within the building that they may seek out should they ever encounter a problem they can’t solve, are significantly upset, or are in real or perceived danger. Identifying these three individuals at the onset of a troubling situation increases the likelihood of children making good choices in their attempt to rectify the problem. The identification process is also beneficial for the identified adults, as they are aware of which students look to them for support, guidance and help.

Once your child has determined three trusted adults, please click on the link below to access the form. Complete the form and hit submit. The staff and I ask that families submit their children’s form by Friday, February 4. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Thank you!

Hauser PTO Board member positions are available!

They need YOU!!! – The Hauser PTO is looking for parents/guardians who are interested in serving on the 2022-2023 PTO Executive Board. Several of the current Board members will be “graduating” this year (including the president, treasurer, communications VP) and the PTO is looking to fill these positions.

Serving on the PTO Board is a great way to have input on planning events for our students (ice cream truck, graduation party) and supporting our students, teachers and staff (for example: philanthropy grants providing additional tools and special seating).

INCOMING 6th-grade parents/guardians are eligible for board nomination so if you know someone at one of the elementary schools who may be interested, please share this information.

*Note: Compared to D96 elementary schools, Hauser PTO offers a smaller time commitment since there are fewer events and fewer opportunities for parents to volunteer as teachers and staff prepare students for high school.

Hauser PTO is looking to fill the following Exec Board positions –

President: 2-3 hrs/Week
Busiest time at the beginning of the year and during big events (Food Drive, Teacher Appreciation, Graduation)
Treasurer: 2-3 hours/Month
Busiest time at the beginning of the year helping to establish the budget and at year end for reimbursements and preparing for audit.
Secretary: 2-3 hrs/Month
Record monthly meeting minutes and submit.
Parliamentarian: 1-2 hours/Month
Busiest time in early spring during board nominations and years in which bylaws or standing rules are reviewed.
