Fall Parent Night is this Thursday, September 8th beginning at 6:30pm in the auditorium with a presentation by Principal, Casimira Gorman. After her presentation, parents will head to their child’s classroom for a presentation by their teacher. Please note, this is an evening for parents only.

The Blythe Park Bike Safety Rodeo is Back! The rodeo will take place Friday, September 9th for grades K-5 during their PE class.
An officer from the Riverside Police Department will speak to the students about bike safety and rules of the road for bicyclists. Bike riding stations will be available to test students’ navigation skills. Some of the stations include: Balance/Coordination and an Obstacle Course. Additionally, a representative from Dan’s Bike Shop will speak to the students about taking care of your bike (i.e. how to fix the chain, check tires, lock it safely, etc.). Children’s bikes will be made available so students will not have to bring their own. Please note, though, that students must bring their own helmet to participate.

Make an effort to walk or ride your bike to school everyday during Walk/Bike to School Week, September 12th-16th. Each day we will be tracking all children that walk or ride their bikes to school and trying to beat the previous day’s total. Each student that walks or rides their bike will revceive a sticker that day.

Our PTA sponsored fitness program, The Bulldog Challenge has started this month.

We hope you’re enjoying your KidStuff Coupon Book. The Books are $25 and you may order any of the 26 editions. On average, using 3-7 coupons saves you more than you paid for the book. The book contains over 800 coupons; with most of the coupons expiring between September-December 2017. Unpurchased books should be returned to school. Join the PTA! For the 2016-2017 school year the PTA Membership/School Directory package will cost $10.00. The membership letter and Directory Form are below. The information you provide will be used for PTA communication in the following areas:
-To prepare the 2016-2017 Blythe Park school directory.
-For distribution of the PTA weekly e-mail newsletter, ” Blythe Park Happenings.”
Your e-mail address will remain CONFIDENTIAL to Blythe Park PTA. Your e-mail address will NOT be shared with others. It will ONLY be printed in the school directory if you denote by checking the box.
