Stephanie Roldan from Blissful Owl joins Cara Ross to bring Girls Yoga back to Blythe Park. Classes will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for girls in Kindergarten-5th Grade.
Purchase one class or two-class pass at $10 per class. Please sign up by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below. Pay online or send cash/check to the school office with “Girls Yoga” on the envelope and child’s name. Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA. Weekly class reservation deadline is Tuesday.

Vinson Villena, owner of Flying V Athletic Center, is bringing Tae Kwon Do to Blythe Park. The class will be held EVERY Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade. Purchase one class, four class pass or ten class pass. Uniform (Dobuk) is optional. Purchase information will be handed out during class.

Cardio Kids will be held this week on Wednesday and Friday at 7:45am. Please have your runners/walkers dressed appropriately for the activity and the weather.
The students will join Ms. Gorman and Mr. Bartelt in a run or walk around the Blythe Park campus. Four laps around the school equals one mile. Parents are welcome. Click on the following link for the flyer and permission slip.

FITNESS FRIDAY – Fitness Fridays are part of the PTA’s Bulldog Challenge program. Once a month the students will have “Fitness Friday”. A fitness expert will visit Blythe Park during PE to present a sport/fitness activity or topic. The goal of Fitness Fridays is to expose the students to a variety of sports and fitness activities.
This Friday, all PE classes will participate in yoga with our guest expert, Stephanie Roldan from Blissful Owl.

Calling all Riverside students, Kindergarten through 5th Grade! It’s time to paint the Halloween art for display in the windows of local Riverside businesses!
Who: Distrist 96 Students, K-5th Grade
When: Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm
Where: Riverside Parks and Rec, Water Tower, 10 Pine Ave.
Bring: Your own paint and brushes. Paper will be provided.
Cost: Charge will be $1 at the door (please bring exact change).

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!
Hot Lunch is next Friday, October 28th. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. To register your child(ren) click on the CheddarUp button below.
You will be able to pay for the Hot Lunch Fundraiser on-line. If you would not like to use the on-line payment option, please send cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) to the school office with your family name and “Hot Lunch” written on the envelope. You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.
PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit).

Blythe Park School will be Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF this Halloween. UNICEF collection boxes will be sent home with students before October 31st.
Please send all money collected to Blythe Park by November 11th. The school will be accepting cash and checks made payable to “Trick or Treat for UNICEF”
NOTE: Please DO NOT donate online. Mail in donations or take money to a Coinstar. It’s very exciting to view the total collected by the entire school!!
TIP: Keep a bowl of change next to your candy bowl.

Blythe Park PTA will hold an Adult Social on Saturday, November 5th at Tipsters Village Pub in North Riverside. The ticket price of $40.00 per person will include appetizers, salads, sausage/peppers and a two drink ticket. Join us for a night out supporting Blythe and a local business. Purchase your tickets on-line starting next week.
