Cardio Kids will begin it’s fall session next Wednesday, October 4th.

Students in Grades K-5 are encouraged to join Mrs. Gorman, Mr. Bartelt and Mrs. Rehor on Wednesdays and Thursdays for a morning walk, jog, or run.

*NOTE: All parents/guardians are welcome to join us, but parents/guardians of students in kindergarten and first grade MUST be present to walk or run with their child.

The mission of this club is to meet students at their fitness level and show them how to develop stamina, strength and speed. Other goals of the club include building friendships and a strong school community.

Students will meet every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 7:45am – 8:05am where they will walk or run the Blythe Park Walking Path (warm-up begins in the gymnasium).

Halloween Play – Parent/Guardian Actors Needed!

Be a part of a unique Blythe Park tradition! We are looking for parent/guardian volunteers to participate in this year’s Halloween Play.

Blythe Park parents/guardians, directed by Mary Smith, will perform a short play for the students during their Halloween celebration – Tuesday, October 31st.

The students love seeing their family members onstage and look forward to the play every year!

The cast will be practicing two nights a week in October (starting next week).

Picture Day is Tuesday, September 26th!

If purchasing pictures, don’t forget to send your picture package with your child(ren).

You may also purchase pictures through the Life Touch website www.lifetouch.com. NOTE: All pictures purchased electronically must be done prior to Tuesday’s picture day.

 

Blythe Park School Directory – Verify/edit your information by FRIDAY!

This year the PTA has created an online Blythe Park School Directory available to all Blythe Park families. (A printed directory will also be available to PTA members).

All Blythe families were sent an email with their Auto Login Link asking them to verify their household information for the Blythe Park School Directory. Please complete your verification by this FRIDAY.

 

  • This process should take no more than 5 minutes.
  • Once you complete the verification, you will be connected to Blythe Park’s online directory!
  • Families have the ability to edit, update, add or remove their own information. (This information will also be used for the print directory.)

The first Hot Lunch will take place this Friday. Make your reservation by Wednesday!

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

This Friday, September 29th, Blythe Park PTA will be holding the first Hot Lunch Fundraiser for the year. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, a treat and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. Similar to last year, you will be able to pay for the entire year or single lunches.

Reservation deadline is WEDNESDAY.

TO REGISTER – Please click on the following CheddarUp button, no matter your payment method (cash, check, credit).

If paying by cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) please place payment in an envelope marked with your family name and “Hot Lunch” and bring to the school office.

*NOTE – This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.
