There is a mandatory dress rehearsal on Wednesday, February 22nd from 3:00pm-5:00pm for all students participating in the PTA Talent Show.
The requirements for participating in the show are as follows:
- All acts are prepared and rehearsed by the child or group on their own time
- All acts can be no longer than two minutes
- Music needs to be approved by Mrs. Smith. If possible, please supply a copy of the music for the show.
- Participants are responsible for supplying any props and costumes needed for their performance.
Each talent show participant MUST register using the following form – Talent Show Permission Slip 2017

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!
Hot Lunch is this Friday, February 24th. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. To register your child(ren) click on the CheddarUp button below.
You can pay for the Hot Lunch Fundraiser online OR send cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) to the school office with your family name and “Hot Lunch” written on the envelope. You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.
*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit)

Volunteer spots are available to help Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade students during their library time.
Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students. Volunteers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade will help students find books for check out and then have the opportunity to read to the students. Please click on the button below to sign-up:

The class with the highest number of valid Box Tops submitted through THIS Friday, February 24th will win a Pizza Party for their class!

If you are interested in serving on the Blythe Park PTA Executive Board, please submit a completed application form to the Blythe Park office by Wednesday, March 1st. Applications can be obtained from the office or by clicking on the following link: 2017-2018 Executive Board Application
The Nominating Committee’s Proposed Slate will be presented at the Thursday, March 9th PTA General Membership Meeting and voted on at the April meeting. Elected officers will be installed at the May 2017 PTA General Membership meeting.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
Each term is one year. No person can serve more than two consecutive terms in the same position. Therefore, if an office holder has completed the one year term, he/she is welcome to apply for one more year in that same position.
However, it is mandatory that office holders seeking a second term in the same position, office holders seeking a different position on the executive board, and general members seeking a position on the Executive Board submit a formal application to be considered by the Nominating Committee.
*EVERY person desiring a position on the Blythe Park PTA Executive Board must submit a formal application. All applications are confidential and will only be discussed between members of the Nominating Committee.

The PTA has reserved the entire Oak Brook Aquatic Center to splash around with Blythe Park families and friends. A snack will be provided. *An adult must accompany all children attending.
WHERE – Oak Brook Aquatic Center, 1450 Forest Gate Rd., Oak Brook
WHEN – Saturday, March 4th from 6:00-8:00pm
COST – $5 per child **Must be accompanied by an adult (Pay ahead or at the door.)

Students are invited to “Plunge into Fitness” this spring as Raging Waves Waterpark joins the battle against childhood obesity. Each student completing the program requirements between February 13th through April 10th will receive a FREE full day admission pass to Raging Waves, located in Yorkville.
STUDENTS: Keep track of your exercise by coloring one item on the fitness log for every 30 minutes you exercise. Complete 25 hours of exercise between February 13th – April 10th.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Print the log listed below and help track your child’s fitness, then sign the form and send it back to school or email to the School Coordinator, Vivian Robles at vivro1970@gmail.com by April 10th.
